Area 4 – Pine Knolls, San Simeon Creek
Born and raised in Seattle, I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in architecture. After serving with the U.S. Air Force as an aircrew member during the Vietnam War and beyond, I remained as an Air Force Reserve officer serving in many architectural management capacities. In the private sector, I was a partner in an architectural/engineering firm in San Francisco as the chief architect, designing commercial and industrial facilities worldwide.
LIVING IN CAMBRIA
After visiting parents for many years, my wife and I made the decision to move from the Bay Area and build our “forever home” here. I then accepted a six-year position with SLO County as Senior Capital Projects Coordinator, where I was involved in the design and construction of many county owned facilities. As 14-year residents, we are active in many community activities, and I am the current president of the Cambria Fishing Club.
WHY ARE YOU VOLUNTEERING TO SERVE ON THE NCAC?
I have a great interest in the future of our unique Central Coast, Cambria, and our Pine Knolls and San Simeon Creek neighborhoods. I will continue to work with SLO County land use planning and design standards, as well as other issues important to our well being and environment, and communicate the desires of our residents to our county supervisor and planning department.
