Cesilia A. Lomeli
Latino/Latina Representative, Corresponding Secretary
I was born in Patterson, California and I have lived in Cambria for almost 5 years. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and have worked in hospitals, private practice, and as a provider at Poverello House in Fresno for 20+ years. I have a masters degree in nursing and an MPH. It is my belief that health care is a basic human right and I have a great passion to serve others.
LIVING ON THE NORTH COAST
I work now at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast in Cambria. Our clinic has recently received recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home- Level 3. I’m also involved in local community projects, including mental health, addiction medicine, women’s health, and I have a special interest in diabetes. I am a member of the Central Coast Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant professional organization.
I am family and faith oriented. I volunteer at church, Cambria 4-H, Art Beat, SLO 4-H hikers, my daughter’s school, and I have participated in the Scarecrow Festival, local chili contest and the Cambria Historical Society. I have also participated in a number of health fairs in the county.
15 MINUTES OF FAME
I received numerous awards and citations while working in the Central Valley.
WHY ARE YOU VOLUNTEERING TO SERVE ON THE NCAC?
What I love about the Central Coast is the beautiful ocean and hiking trails. I volunteer for the board of the NCAC because I want to have an awareness and understanding of the local issues in our community.
