Area 7 – Lodge Hill
Representative, NCAC Treasurer
I am originally from San Diego and moved to Cambria in 2010. I live here with my wife, Debbie, and daughter, Lorien. I have partially retired from CalFire as a Training Officer and am currently working with the National Guard program as a Military Liaison. I previously worked for Texas A&M University as an instructor for Disaster Management.
During my tenure in the Fire Service, I spent my career involved in the Riverside FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team 6, the Swiftwater Rescue program, and Truck Company Operations. I am a State Fire Marshall instructor for 16 different classes and have served on several Curriculum Development Cadres.
I had the honor of being a representative of California as one of the 343 flag-bearers during the NYFD 911 Memorial. I have seen the devastation of disasters, both large and small, and how they affect/change people.
LIVING ON THE NORTH COAST
I spend my time as the Judging Chairman for the National Corvette Restoration Society, and I judge for them and for several Concours d’Elegance events around the country.
15 MINUTES OF FAME
I have had conversations with two sitting Governors (Schwarzenegger and Davis) and have given emergency treatment to several Hollywood/political notables.
WHY ARE YOU VOLUNTEERING TO SERVE ON THE NCAC?
I decided to serve on the NCAC since I thought that there needed to be a voice of newer residents to the area on the council.
